ABOUT

Agents shouldn't
fail silently.

Every handoff matters.

CueAPI is coordination infrastructure for AI agent systems. You declare a cue. CueAPI dispatches work across environments. Your agent does the job and reports back with proof. Compose. Coordinate. Verify.

Most scheduling tools stop at "did the job run." CueAPI tracks whether the job worked. Six outcome states. Evidence fields. Verification policies. Every handoff is logged with structured proof of what happened.

Why we built it

We ran agents on cron. Agents failed silently. Nobody knew until something downstream broke. A missed report. A stale database. A customer who never got their notification.

The gap was not capability. It was coordination across environments. Agents need a primitive that knows when a handoff succeeded and when it did not. We built CueAPI because nothing else solved this the right way. Not cron. Not task queues. Not workflow engines. None of them track outcomes.

Who we are

CueAPI is built by Vector Apps Inc. Based in Palo Alto, CA. Vector Apps builds AI-native infrastructure for builders running agents in production. CueAPI is the coordination layer we needed for our own agents before we made it available to everyone.

Open source

The core coordination engine is open source under Apache 2.0. Self-hostable with Docker Compose. Full feature parity with the hosted service. 600+ tests. Every line of delivery, signing, and execution tracking code is auditable.

The problem we solved

Cron fires a job. No retries. No delivery confirmation. No outcome tracking. No visibility into whether the work happened. For scripts, that was fine. For AI agents coordinating across environments, it is not.

Agents make decisions. They send emails. They update databases. They trigger downstream actions. When they fail silently, the damage compounds before anyone notices.

CueAPI gives agents the coordination primitive they were missing. Every handoff declared. Every delivery signed. Every outcome verified. The agent is the brain. CueAPI is the coordination layer.

We are a small team. We use AI agents to build and operate CueAPI. We believe small teams with the right infrastructure can now build what previously required large ones.
